Royal Bengal Tiger Duration: 10 Days. Best time: November through to May. Suggested time: March & April( although it is hot but these months offer great appurtunity to see the Tiger) Focus: Mammals, Birds and Tribal villages. Route: Mumbai-Nagpur-Kanha-Pench-Nagpur-Delhi. Our Journey begins with a brief sightseeing of Mumbai and quickly moves to Madhya Pradesh ( central India)- Kipling Country. This is the land of Jungle Books, where the descendants of Shere Khan the tiger still prowl. For many observers, this is the true land of the tiger: not only does it have the highest tiger population in India, it also has some of the most exciting habitats anywhere in the tiger's range. The open meadows, sal and bamboo forest of Kanha and teak jungles of Pench , creating landscapes of infinite beauty! Barking deer watch you pass; sambar seem immense and dark; Giant squirrels in the canopy of the trees hop from branch to branch and tree to tree; racquet-tail drongos shrill loudly and flash their peculiar tails; everywhere one senses the presence of the tiger and expects to encounter it around each corner… After visit and having ample time to explore Kanha and Pench ,we take flight to the Historic capital of India- Delhi. Day 1: Arrive Mumbai Assistance on arrival and transfer to the Pre-booked hotel. Morning free to Re-charge. Afternoon we take a boat tripe to Elephanta caves, also visit to the Gate way of India. Breakfast and overnight in hotel. Day 2: Mumbai-Nagpur ( fly)- Kanha (drive 220kms/6hrs). Early morning transfer to the airport for flight to Nagpur. Arrive and drive through beautiful countryside and low lying hills to Kanha national Park for 5 nights stay in delightful resort. Breakfast on board, dinner and overnight in Resort. Day 3/ 4/5/6: Kanha: We explore Kanha National Park by Open 4WD jeep and elephant, accompanied by resident Naturalist, we also have time to explore some beautiful Tribal Villages, Nature walks. All meals and overnight in resort. Day 7: Kanha to Pench ( about 190kms/5hrs). After breakfast we drive to Pench national in time for evening Jeep safari . Arrive Pench and stay for 2 nights in Jungle resort. All meals and overnight in Resort. Day 8: Pench: Explore the beautiful park by Jeep and elephant with resident Naturalist. All meals and overnight in Resort/Camp. Day 9: Pench-Nagpur ( drive/92kms/2hrs)- Delhi (fly). Early wakeup and transfer to Nagpur air-port for flight to Delhi. Arrive Delhi and transfer to the Hotel ( day room until 1800hrs). Afternoon Guided visit to Old Delhi, Visiting Red Fort and Shah Jehan's Mosque. Late evening transfer to the airport. Day 10, Departure: Fly back. Extension (Optional Visit) To Taj Mahal at Agra is available by Super-fast train or by Car/Coach. |
